AFRIMA PRESENTS COMPUTERS, BOOKS, TO SCHOOL

The management of the All Africa Music Awards has presented computers, books and other writing materials to selected schools in Lagos.

The items were presented to participating schools in the recently-concluded 2016 Felabration Senior Secondary School debate in Lagos.

The debate, which had the theme, ‘Reparation, Yes or No’, was organised in partnership with the African Union to celebrate the legacy of the late musician, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

While Ebaka Omo-Lamai of Dowen College, Lagos, emerged winner of the debate, Eze Okoli of Vivian Fowler School, Ikeja, and Tayo Olowu of Ayo Girls Senior Secondary School, emerged in the second and third positions respectively.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Executive Officer of AFRIMA,  Mike Dada, said the debate provided his organisation with a platform to further its corporate responsibility activities.

He said, “AFRIMA is committed to reducing illiteracy in Africa through the Educate-A-Child campaign for investment in education”.
